Our cellar will bring a smile to the face of any wine lover. In the historic vaulted cellar from 1870 awaits the largest and best managed wine collection in the greater Stuttgart area - all carefully and expertly curated by our restaurant manager Andreas Scherle. 



The cellar is much more than just a storage room. The cool temperature and ideal level of humidity provide the perfect environment for our exceptional wines to develop and age. 

Our Wine List

In addition to approximately 10,000 bottles of over 1,500 wines, our cellar houses 200 select spirits from top distilleries. Treasures you can hold in your hand and enjoy, sip by sip, while dining in our fine dining restaurant Zur Weinsteige or in a wine tasting in the St. Urban tasting room.

Wine Tasting for the Soul: In the St. Urban Cellar in Stuttgart!

As the patron saint of winemakers in the cellars and growers in the fields, the holy St. Urban has kept watch to ensure rich harvests and beautifully matured wines for hundreds of years. As the patron saint of our tasting room, he offers even more: In the rustic sandstone vaulted cellar with its dark oak standing tables he ensures that you experience remarkable wine moments in your private wine tasting with our cellar master Andreas Scherle, whether before or after a festive dinner in our fine dining restaurant.

In addition to tasting wines specially selected to your tastes, you’ll learn a great many interesting things about the wine’s aromas, the characteristics of the grape varieties and growing areas, as well as the winemakers and their philosophies. And of course, a tour of our richly stocked wine cellar is a part of the experience.


We would be happy to offer a wine tasting or event in this special environment for groups of 8-20 guests as a complete culinary experience with specialties from our gourmet kitchen. We would be delighted to work with you in order to prepare a quote according to your wishes.
