Just a five minute walk away from the Hotel Zur Weinsteige Stuttgart, you’ll find our restaurant Weinhaus Stetter: the oldest wine shop and one of the most popular traditional wine locales in Stuttgart.

Dating back to 1902, high quality wine in Stuttgart has long been associated with Weinhaus Stetter in the historic “Bohnenviertel” neighborhood. Before the third generation of the Stetter family went into retirement in 2008, they looked to the hotel owner and wine expert Andreas Scherle to take over their traditional local establishment.

Today, as in days past, the quaint wine restaurant is a beloved meeting place for regulars both young and old. The love of good wine and traditional food continue to bring people together, transcending generations and providing for a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Those who hold one of the coveted seats have a choice of 40 wines by the glass at competitive prices.

For enjoyment at home, our wine shop has a selection of over 500 wines which we offer, most of them entirely without mark-up, at original winery prices. Because we understand that our attractive selection can lead to shopping for more than you can carry, we’re happy to offer a wine delivery service directly to your door!

For hotel guests that would like to take wine home with them, we would be happy to advise you in your selection, deliver your wines to the hotel for you and load them into your car. If you’re unable to decide on your purchases in person, you can also order them from home with ease using our new online wine shop; purchases over €180 include free delivery.
